 About Us

Bolsover Camera Club was established between 1951 and 1952 when a group of local photographic enthusiasts used to meet in the local chemist shop whilst purchasing processing chemicals and paper.

The club comprises of a small group of around 30 members, all keen photographers with a wide range of interests that covers most subjects from creative photography to portraiture, landscape, and natural history.

The ability level is wide and ranges from beginners to advanced workers; members of any ability are welcome and offered assistance when required.

Club nights are held on Friday evenings between September to May and are varied to include workshops, lectures, competitions, and a whole variety of activities to maintain the enthusiasm of our members.

Outside the programme a range of outings, informal meets and shoots are often held.

The club has been a member of the North and East Midlands Photographic Federation since its inception and as such is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

With these associations, both the club and members are able to participate within these circles in exhibitions, competitions and national championships.

Why not call in at one of our meetings, introduce yourself and we feel sure that you will find our group friendly and helpful more importantly, more than willing to offer help and offer assistance to those who come forward.

Young members and novice photographers are especially welcome and there are no waiting lists to join our group.

Let's work together

Success! Message received.
